At the Coalface: Process

September 21, 2014 / Uncategorized / 0 Comments /

Our very first At the Coalface took place in the Pearson Lab last week. An audience of around 50 members of the public, friends and members joined us to hear from our wonderful cast of speakers, with drinks provided by the incredibly generous Crate Brewery and VitaCoco. The space has never looked to great!

Our line up?

Knyttan co-founder, Hal Watts; one half of Instrument Product Development, Matt Batchelor; Ben Redford of Internetopia and Mayku fame; Elaine Burke of Malawi-produced fashion brand Khama, Tim Burrell-Saward of ELK and Tom Stables of Stables & Lucraft all presented their individual practices before launching into a lively discussion and audience-led Q&A; about the importance of getting stuck in, openness and visibility of process and what our makers were inspired by.

Stay tuned for updates on our next installment, on Wednesday 29th October!
